Cushion

All Sunbrella® fabrics are engineered to combine the highest level of design and performance. For easy day-to-day maintenance of your Sunbrella fabric:

  1. Brush off loose dirt.

  2. Spray on a cleaning solution of water and mild soap.

  3. Use a soft bristle brush to clean.

  4. Allow cleaning solution to soak into the fabric.

  5. Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed.

  6. Air dry.

If your furniture is being used in an area where birds and trees are plentiful, having cushions covered is especially recommended.

For specific cleaning solutions, please visit Sunbrella® web page. You can find the cleaning guide for the different stains at the address above with video instructions https://global.sunbrella.com/en-us/how-to-clean.

Resin Wicker Collections

You can clean your furniture by washing it with warm water with mild soap. Do not use abrasive materials or cleansers. Please do not use a pressure washer as the water jet could damage the wicker.

Maintain your furniture by having them covered during the winter seasons. Always clean and dry thoroughly before storing.

Care & Maintenance

Our philosophy has always been to create furniture that’s engineered to withstand the elements without sacrificing comfort or style. When designing for the outdoors, we’ve rigorously researched and tested a variety of materials to offer you quality outdoor furniture that’s made to last. With this in mind, we know better than anyone that nothing is foolproof. Here you’ll find our care and maintenance instructions to keep your investments looking beautiful and performing at their best, season after season.

We always recommend covering or storing your furniture when it is not in use, particularly in the off season or during inclement weather conditions, to prevent unnecessary wear and tear.

Cushion Care

Our cushions are made with high-performance Sunbrella® solution-dyed fabrics with an innovative high-resilience cushion fill. Engineered to withstand the elements, our generously proportioned cushions are a standout feature of our outdoor furniture. In order to maintain the look and strength of the cushions, it’s key to follow proper care guidelines.

Tips to prolong the life of your Sunbrella® cushions

  • Keep cushions dry and avoid unnecessary moisture.
  • Fabric may be cleaned with water, a mild soap solution, and gently scrubbed using a soft, bristled brush.
  • If the cushions have been dampened or soaked through, shake or wipe the cushions off to remove excess moisture before leaving them in a dry place to air out.
  • Note: Do not store cushions while wet. Please allow fabric and foam cushion to air dry fully before storing to prevent mold and mildew growth.
  • Food spills should be cleaned up immediately, as they may stain and will attract insects. Should staining occur, clean with a solution of two ounces of a light liquid soap per one gallon of lukewarm water.
  • Fabric cushion covers may be machine washed for a deeper clean. Please follow the Sunbrella® cleaning guide to ensure the fabric’s integrity is preserved.

We always recommend covering or storing your cushions when they are not in use, particularly in the off season or during inclement weather conditions, to prevent unnecessary wear and tear.

Wicker Care

All wicker frames are made using premium all-weather HDPE resin wicker. Resistant to fading, warping, and cracking, our wicker offers superb longevity and ease of maintenance. To start, we recommend removing the cushions to fully access the frame for a thorough cleaning.

Tips to clean wicker frames

  • Large debris such as leaves or twigs should be removed prior to applying cleaning solutions to the frames.
  • For light surface cleaning, wipe down with a soft damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
  • A soft bristle brush and a solution of two ounces of a light liquid soap per one gallon of lukewarm water may be used to clean off stubborn soil.
  • If a deeper clean is desired, a pressure washer on the gentlest setting or water hose may be used on the frame to avoid damaging or warping the wicker weave.
  • Note: Avoid harsh chemical or abrasive cleaning products, as these may lead to permanent damage of the wicker and compromise its performance.
  • Rinse thoroughly after using any soaps or detergents.
  • Allow frames to dry thoroughly before storing to prevent mold or mildew growth.

Aluminum Care

Lightweight, sturdy, and modern, our aluminum frames have reinforced welding for added strength and a powder coat finish for greater rust resistance, so maintenance is simple.

Tips to clean aluminum frames

  • Aluminum frames can be polished with a cloth.
  • For a deeper clean, a soft bristle brush and a solution of two ounces of a light liquid soap per one gallon of lukewarm water may be used to clean off stubborn soil. Spray down with a hose.
  • Rinse thoroughly after using any soaps or detergents.
  • Note: Avoid harsh chemical or abrasive cleaning products, as these may lead to permanent damage of the powder coat and compromise its performance.
  • Rinse thoroughly after using any soaps or detergents.
  • Allow frames to dry thoroughly before storing to prevent rusting.

If needed, please contact us for touch-up kits that can be used to remedy minor surface scratches.

Tips to clean MGP frames

  • MGP frames can be polished with a cloth.

Made from recycled post-consumer plastics, our High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) frames are made with extra thick panels for added stability and strength.

Tips to clean HIPS frames

  • HIPS frames can be polished with a cloth.

Teak Care

Teak is naturally resistant to rot, making it a popular material for outdoor furniture. Hardy and beautiful, teak is relatively simple to maintain in only a few steps. In some cases, teak will naturally develop an attractive silvery patina over time.

Tips to clean teak surfaces

  • Wipe down teak surfaces with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
  • A soft bristle brush and a solution of two ounces of a light liquid soap per one gallon of lukewarm water may be used to clean off stubborn soil.
  • For a deeper clean, a teak cleaner may be used.
  • Note: Avoid harsh chemical or abrasive cleaning products, as these may lead to permanent damage of the teak and compromise its appearance and performance.
  • Periodically apply a teak oil after cleaning to help maintain its golden colour.
  • Use coasters to prevent damage from especially hot or wet items.
  • Take care to cover the surface when it’s not in use to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight or precipitation.
